Make Your Health a Priority in 2009!
I’m always excited with the start of a new year and 2009 is no exception. There’s something about when January rolls around that’s all about new and fresh beginnings. Because try as I might, once the holidays are upon us in December, I lower my guard, my motivation isn’t as great and I get into relaxation mode. So January always rings in new possibilities for me to take better care of myself.
And my priority around my health this year is getting back to being stronger and more buff. Yep, that’s right, used to be that I was really buff, then I went to my current state of mildly buff (which doesn’t make me too happy), and it’s time for that to change!
When it comes to our health, however, the challenge is about how to make it a priority in the midst of so many other things that grab and take our attention on a daily basis – work, kids, taking care of elderly parents, community activities, just to name a few. Many of us have great intentions, make resolutions, stick to it for awhile, but invariably, things don’t work out as we’d like in the end.
What will be different for you this year? How will you truly make your health a priority and not one more thing to do that’s buried in your list?
Take a listen to this week’s audio tip on a few essential ingredients you need to make sure your stick to your guns and you make and maintain healthy changes all year long and feel your best.
What are you going to do this year to make your health a priority? What’s inspiring to you? Share your thoughts below.
