Buying a Juicer – Which Type is Right For You?
If you’re new to the concept of juicing, you might not realize that there are several types of juicers in a variety of price ranges to meet your needs. Although I’ve been drinking fresh juices for several years, I always got them at the health food store. Truth be told, I paid an outrageous amount of money for fresh juice, considering how easy it is to do yourself. But of course, you need the right equipment to do it.
I have the most basic type, a centrifugal juicer, which is great if you’re new to juicing. They’re less expensive and have fewer features, but it’s a good way to test things out. Unfortunately, you don’t get the optimal health benefits using a centrifugal juicer, but they’re still helpful. There’s also masticating and triturating juicers which are more expensive but have a lot more features and provide greater health benefits. Take a listen to today’s audio tip and you can learn more about each of the types and see what might be a good fit for you.
Where do you start if you want to get more info on juicers? I like the Consumer Search site where they rate juicers according to features and price. I also came across the Happy Juicer site with a good overview of juicers and additional resources to point you in the right direction. And here’s an interesting and informative post from the Eat This! blog which I think you’ll find really helpful.
