The Relationship Between Tuning In and Heart Health

You’ve heard me talk a lot about slowing down and tuning in and I believe it can’t be more important than when it comes to heart health. The truth is, when we’re busy running around and over-committing to way too many things in our life, as so many of us do, we really can’t feel what’s going on in our bodies. But when we get slow, signs that something is wrong become more obvious and we tend to act on them with urgency. And with our hearts, there often isn’t time to say, “I’ll get to the doctor when I can.”

It’s shocking to me that heart disease is the number one killer of women. There’s really no reason heart disease has to be such a huge problem in this country. We all have the power to something about it – slow down, tune in and listen to the signals our body is sending in addition to making healthy changes.

Check out this week’s audio tip on why tuning in makes a big difference when it comes to heart attack and heart disease and what you can do.
