Got Finicky Kids? Here’s a Solution

It seems like a lot of kids are finicky eaters. I don’t have kids myself, but if my niece is any example, it’s hard to get kids to eat certain things, especially vegetables. I still remember my mom making me sit at the dinner table until I choked down the vegetables she made (luckily, this wasn’t all the time). And instead of just eating them quickly, I prolonged the agony by pushing them around my plate, eating everything else and just praying they’d go away. When I was little, I swore that eating spinach made my tongue itch. And itch or not, there I was stuck at the table.

I like the fact that today there are plenty of ways to make vegetables more interesting, even fun. I came across a website recently that I think you might like. It’s actually an anti-cancer website from the University of Michigan. It has lots of recipes and helpful information that you can customize. What I really like is that there’s a recipe search where you can indicate all the ingredients that you’d like to have included in a recipe . I love this for kids because since they’re often picky, you can have fun together by figuring out the things that they like and finding relatively simple recipes that you can even make together.  Check it out and tell me what you think. It’s a good way to make a quick, healthy meal while also getting your kids to eat some veggies.
